A Sensemaking Metaphorical Tool You Personify:
AN ICEBERG:
Most of what is important (e.g., character) is below the surface.
1. Who are you/ what makes you tick?
My passion is helping people find themselves and enhance their Leadership IQ, build a clear, strategic bridge between their goals and objectives, and harness the new technologies that can transform their organization from past tense to future-proof. Helping those in need.
2. What are some of the important questions that you are making sense of nowadays?
- Why are we on this earth?
- If all my dreams came true, would I be better off, or would the WORLD be a better place?
- What is the legacy I wish to leave behind? How do I care to be remembered? What am I doing about it?
- How am I spending my time, energy, and resources? Is there alignment?
3. How are some of the ways you go about making sense of the world?
- I read a book a week in addition to many other publications and journals, deep and wide.
- I listen to 12 podcasts each week on a broad array of subjects.
- Spend time talking with my MasterMind / Inner Circle, coaches and mentors.
4. What is overhyped? What is underhyped?
Overhyped: Electric vehicles / green energy being “better” for the environment; conspiracy theories; celebrity gossip.
Underhyped: Value of nuclear energy; self-care and leading healthy lifestyles for all vs. Big Pharma pill cures; Everyone needs a coach and accountability partner.
“Who exactly seeks out a coach? Winners who want more out of life.” — Chicago Tribune
[My company, Love 2 Lead, motto is: “Build a business to make an impact. Deliver more than people expect.” ].
5. Who is at your sensemaker last supper? Five people?
I admire thought-leaders, experimenters, philosophers, servant leaders, and civic advocates. I have so many questions that these four may be the most qualified to answer.
6. What big or small question would you love answered or solved?
Is there one God and a Heaven and hell? If so, what do they look like? Is there an Afterlife and what does it look like?
7. When you are not thinking deeply about the world, what else are you passionate about in your day to day life?
As NFL coach Vince Lombardi’s priorities were “God, family, and the Green Bay Packers.”
Serving those less fortunate, nature, health / nutrition, good food, wine, coffee, and music.
8. What do you enjoy about being part of the Guild, being part of the F+S Expert Squad?
I love being intellectually challenged and learning new perspectives. Exposure to a global and diverse network of brilliant minds makes me and the world better. There will be many various opportunities to contribute and serve.
